Graduate

Master's Degree

The students who completed undergraduate degree in success may apply to graduate programme. Applications from other departments may be accepted as long as necessary conditions are satisfied. The education period of the programme is 2 years. First year includes course period, and second year includes thesis study. n order to graduate / complete the programme, courses must be taken from the announced graduate course programme and must be accomplished. After completing the courses period, a thesis study must be submitted under the advisor academic staff's proposal. In addition, thesis approved student must make a presentation to the assigned jury.
For International Students:
First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the
programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.

Doctorate Degree

The students who completed graduate degree in success may apply to doctorate programme. The education period of the programme is 4 years. In order to graduate / complete the programme, courses must be taken from the announced graduate course programme and must be accomplished. After completing the courses period, a thesis study must be submitted under the advisor academic staff's proposal. In addition, thesis approved student must make a presentation to the assigned jury. The students who completed the programme successfully may have a position as geography teacher in the schools or private teaching institutions affiliated with Ministry of Education, or may also apply to the related positions in the universities in order to be an academician.
